Terry Semel

Semel is focused on providing the strategy and vision that will allow Yahoo! to attain its goal to be the Internet's leading global consumer and business services company. A globally-respected media and entertainment executive, Semel was named Yahoo!'s chairman and CEO in May 2001. Previously, Semel spent 24 years at Warner Bros., most noted for his role as chairman and co-chief executive officer where he and his partner, Robert Daly, helped build Warner Bros. into one of the world's largest and most creative media and entertainment enterprises. Like Yahoo!, Warner Bros. reaches billions of worldwide consumers through its vast stable of properties. Semel is credited with building Warner Bros. from a single revenue source generating less than $1 billion to nearly $11 billion total revenues from multiple, diverse businesses in 50 countries. Prior to Warner Bros., Semel was in charge of Walt Disney's Theatrical Distribution division and previously in charge of CBS' Theatrical Distribution division. Semel is currently on the Board of Directors of Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation, the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Television and Radio. In 2005, Semel was granted the UCLA Medal, which is the highest honor bestowed by the university, and the Yale Legends in Leadership Award.

Judy Girard

Judy Girard, president of HGTV, assumed her position in November 2005 after serving as president of Shop At Home Network. During her tenure at Shop At Home, she managed the network's integration into the television commerce strategy for Scripps Networks and its lifestyle television brands: HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network and Fine Living. Previously Ms. Girard served as president of Food Network, where she was responsible for programming, content on foodnetwork.com and marketing and promotions for the network. Before being named president, Ms. Girard was senior vice president and general manager of the network. Additionally, Ms. Girard served as senior vice president of programming and content development for Scripps Networks. She was responsible for the planning and coordination required for using programming content generated by all the Scripps Networks brands. Ms. Girard, a long-time television executive, also served as senior vice president of programming for Americast, a joint venture of Disney, BellSouth, SBC Communications, Ameritech and GTE Corp., where she oversaw video and interactive services. At Americast, Ms. Girard worked with Disney and other partners to build a 125-plus channel programming entity.

Rob Gregory is a seasoned media and marketing professional, with over 25 years of experience in trade, consumer, and emerging media. As Group Publisher at Dennis Publishing, Inc. (NYC), Rob currently oversees Maxim Magazine, and its growing list of brand extensions. Maxim is the largest men's lifestyle magazine in the world, and has now successfully extended the brand into digital media, entertainment, bricks and mortar businesses, and multi-platform advertising sales, brand positioning, events, promotion, public relations, and marketing conference. This past May, Maxim published its first ever "Mobile Issue", that allowed readers to interact with the magazine using their cell phones to get more content, send content, vote, enter sweepstakes and more. Initiatives such as these have kept Maxim at the forefront of innovation and continue to establish Maxim as the industry leader and one of the most powerful brands reaching young men in the world. Prior to Maxim, Rob was Publisher of Rolling Stone, where he successfully repositioned and turned around the magazine, transforming the business from a 19% advertising sales revenue decline, to a 7% increase in just three years, during a period of dynamic change in both consumer magazine and the music sectors. Rob has also held top management positions at Men's Journal, Gourmet, and Scientific American. In addition, he successfully positioned and launched new magazines Travel & Leisure Golf and Garden Design, both of which remain profitable businesses today.

Jack Griffin

As President of Meredith Corporation's Publishing Group, Jack Griffin oversees Meredith's publishing, Internet, Licensing and marketing communications businesses, encompassing nearly 40 businesses in total with annual revenues of $1.3 billion. Since re-joining Meredith in June 2003, Jack has been instrumental in transforming Meredith into the leading publisher and content provider to women in the United States. He has overseen the integration of the former Gruner & Jahr (Parents, Family Circle, Fitness, etc.) and introduced the Company's market position of "We Inspire, She Makes It Happen.®" He has also spearheaded Meredith's expansion into the Hispanic market with the launch of Meredith Hispanic Ventures and Siempre Mujer, establishing Meredith as the leading publisher for Hispanic women in America. Additionally, Jack has led an aggressive expansion of Meredith's marketing communications and digital businesses with the acquisition of several digital marketing agencies and the expansion of Meredith Interactive and Meredith Integrated Marketing. Meredith, the second-largest consumer magazine publisher in America as measured by circulation, publishes 27 subscription magazines, including three of the country's largest circulation monthly magazines: Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal. Among publishers, Meredith is a leader in the interactive space with its consumer web sites led by bhg.com, one of the leading web sites for women. Under Jack's leadership, Meredith recently acquired Readymade, a leading print and digital brand for 20-30 year old DIYers. Meredith is also a leading book publisher, with nearly 400 titles in print and sold at major retail outlets across America. Howard joined Virgin Mobile in January 2003, and leads overall company strategy, marketing, business development, key alliances, branding and publicity. In four years time, Howard and the Virgin Mobile team have built the first US mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and youth dedicated service with over 4 million subscribers, a trendsetting brand, robust national distribution, industry leading customer satisfaction and retention rates. Howard brings 20 years of experience as a recognized brand builder and marketing leader across a range of world class brands, including The National Football League, MTV: Music Television, Saturday Night Live and The Quaker Oats Company. Before Virgin Mobile, Howard served as president and chief executive officer of Burly Bear Network, a start-up cable network and youth marketing company, where he more than tripled revenues in two years before selling the business to National Lampoon. Before this, Howard was head of marketing and fan development for The National Football League where he led the creation of the league's first imaging campaign, "Feel The Power," and developed the NFL's integrated youth initiative, "Play Football." Earlier, Howard served as head of marketing for MTV: Music Television where he played a central role in the launch of "Beavis & Butt-head", "The Jon Stewart Show," "The Real World," and the Emmy & Peabody Award-winning "Choose or Lose" voter awareness campaign. Christie Hefner has been Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises since 1988.
Under Christie's leadership, the company evolved into an international media and entertainment company, whose largest profit center is the distribution of digital content via television, the Internet and wireless. As a part of that transformation, in 1994 Christie led the company onto the Internet when Playboy became the first national magazine on the World Wide Web. Playboy-branded products have reached $700 million in annual sales at the retail level, and there are currently seven stand-alone Playboy concept boutiques around the world, with stores in London and Auckland scheduled to open in 2007. Last year, Playboy continued its brand expansion by opening a Playboy Club casino with the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. He has overseen development of campaigns on behalf of such CNN programs as Anderson Cooper 360, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Larry King Live, Paula Zahn Now, The Situation Room, American Morning and CNN Presents, the most-honored news documentary series on television.. His team has been responsible for handling marketing and sales communications during CNN's award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath, the 2004 Presidential Election, the 2006 Midterm Election, the on-going war in Iraq and the Southeast Asia Tsunami disaster.
